State Representative Bill Roemer attended the Norwood Inn Tear Down Ceremony in the Village of Boston Heights. This followed the village securing $885,000 through the Ohio Demolition and Site Revitalization Program. The funds will be used for the abatement and demolition of the deteriorated Norwood Inn on Dean Memorial Parkway, a project expected to open pathways for future development and community revitalization.
Roemer commented on the project’s significance, stating, “This project will remove a long-time community eyesore and lead to additional development and tax revenues for our local community.”
The Building Demolition and Site Revitalization Program, established by the Ohio General Assembly and Governor Mike DeWine, aims to support the demolition of commercial and residential buildings and the revitalization of surrounding non-Brownfield properties. This initiative seeks to encourage development and enhance local communities.
