Governor Mike DeWine has signed Senate Bill 208 and Senate Bill 211 into law. Both bills were sponsored by State Senator Kristina Roegner, representing Hudson.

Senator Roegner expressed her gratitude for the enactment of these legislations, stating, "I am grateful to see both of these important pieces of legislation signed into law."

Senate Bill 208 mandates Ohio public school districts to provide an exception in their open enrollment policies for students with parents who are active duty members of the U.S. military. Meanwhile, Senate Bill 211 allows Ohio to join the Dietitian Licensure Compact.

Roegner commented on the impact of these bills: "Both of these bills remove burdensome regulations that help our state keep moving forward," she said. She added that Senate Bill 208 is a gesture of appreciation towards service members and their families, while SB 211 aims to create employment opportunities and enhance access to nutrition services.
