On June 1st, Lt. Erik Wells, Lt. Forrest Kappler, Officer Kenny Williams, and Sgt. Brent Bauknecht teamed up with retired APD Officer John Nouse and Wounded Warrior Project to host the 14th annual Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Inc. at Rockwell Springs Trout Club in Castalia, Ohio. Project Healing Waters is dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military service personnel and disabled veterans through fly fishing and associated activities, including education and outings.
Approximately 100 wounded warriors enjoyed a day of fly fishing. The club provided all with equipment, food, and plenty of fish to take home.
