Akron Fire Department issued the following announcement on February 25.
The Akron Fire Department’s Hazmat Team held training this morning for our 908 Devices! These tools can detect and identify a wide range of chemicals on-scene, from explosives and warfare agents to narcotics and even invisible vapors.
The 908 devices can be used to assess exposure in many scenarios, like building or vehicle inspections, searches, checkpoint operations and screening for special events.
