State Rep. Bill Roemer | The Ohio House of Representatives
State Representative Bill Roemer recently acknowledged the 160th anniversary of Temple Israel Akron with a commendation from the Ohio House of Representatives. The Temple, originally founded by 20 Jewish men in Akron as the Akron Hebrew Congregation, has served its community for 160 years and continues to do so under the name Temple Israel Akron.
"The Temple Israel holds rich history and remains a pillar of the great Akron community," said Roemer. "It was an honor to celebrate this monumental anniversary!"
