Several Brookville Fire Department personnel were recognized at the annual Christmas Party and Awards Dinner on Saturday evening, December 3.
Kaleb Broomhall, Caleb Custer, and Andrew Stewart received recognition for 5 years of service; Justin Veverka was recognized for 10 years of service; Erin Kaz and Chad Ferguson received recognition for 15 years of service; and Chad Wakefield was recognized for 20 years of service.
The officer staff recognized Jen Zirkle as the EMS Provider of the Year, and Chris Long as the Firefighter of the Year. Chief Fletcher recognized Matt Rhoades as the Officer of the Year.
Megan Vaughn and Gavin McGriff each received a Fire Chief's Commendation for Excellent Service during year.
Megan Vaughn, Craig Wilson, Justin Veverka, and Dan Wolfe received an EMS Unit Citation for the care provided trauma patient - a 19month old child mauled by a dog.
Andrew Stewart, Mark Wysong, and Justin Veverka received an EMS Unit Citation for the resuscitation of a cardiac arrest victim.
Each of these individuals are excellent representatives of the professionals we have answering calls-for-service every day.
