This year, the City of Akron’s annual celebration of Halloween will take place on Saturday, October 29. Akron residents who wish to participate in “Trick or Treat Night” may show their support by turning on their porch lights between the hours of 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. that evening. Akron police patrols will pay special attention to children and families walking city neighborhoods to promote a safe and successful celebration for all.
According to Akron City Council ordinance, “Trick or Treat Night” in the City of Akron is always the last Saturday in October from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The City, Downtown Akron Partnership, Lock 3, and other partners plan to host a variety of other Halloween and fall events in the month of October as part of the City’s “Fall in Love with Akron” campaign.
Lock 3 will present a fall movie series every Saturday in October. As Lock 3 begins to undergo its transformation, the location for the movies will change. Please note the location for each week below. Free admission. Guests are encouraged to bring a chair and a blanket.

There will be Trick or Treating along Main Street from 5 to 7 p.m., as well as pumpkin decorating, music, fire pits, vendors and more in Cascade Plaza.

Fall Fest is presented by Downtown Akron Partnership with support from the City of Akron, the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, and Ohio Arts Council.
