It was exciting to see more than 125 of our dedicated faculty and staff at today’s Spring Semester Update.
Thank you again to all the hard-working professionals in the UA community who have assisted the University during one of the most difficult and important periods of its history. President Miller reminded colleagues that much has been accomplished recently including:
A new strategic plan and vision for the University
A new Office of Inclusion and Equity Diversity Roadmap
A new perspective and commitment to shared governance
A campus-wide commitment to increasing enrollment
New leaders in key dean positions and other leadership roles
A new and more transparent approach to budgeting
New ERP and advising systems that have engaged dozens across campus
The development of the AkronArts plan, a bold initiative to embrace and enhance arts on our campus and in the city of Akron to enrich, empower and enliven our community.
