Summit County Historical Society issued the following announcement on February 5.
For 98 years, the Society has worked to be a steward of local history in Akron and Summit County and a good neighbor here on Mutton Hill/Perkins Hill/Copley Hill for almost 80 years.
The Perkins presence has been here on this hillside for 188 years. Thank you to the many generous volunteers and dedicated staff who help make the property accessible, especially during harsh winters.
